Raleigh, N.C. (August 29, 2008) – The WakeMed Foundation announces five new board members each with a great enthusiasm and passion for WakeMed. Virginia Anthony, Tim Carroll, Sheldon Fox, Jeff Stocks and Dr. Shrin Rajagopalan round-out the 29-member WakeMed Foundation Board.
Virginia Anthony
Virginia Anthony is an active member of the Cary community and is currently chair of the board of Cary Visual Art, is on the Cary Family YMCA Advisory Board, serves on the Session of Kirk of Kildaire, Presbyterian and is chairing the WakeTeen 2008 fundraiser. She has a degree in history from Auburn University and resides in Cary with her husband Mike and their two children, Helen and John.
Tim Carroll
Tim Carroll is vice president, global operations for IBM’s Integrated Supply Chain, which accounts for approximately $25 billion of IBM’s total revenue. Carroll has a bachelor’s degree in Information Science from the State University of New York College at Oswego. He and his wife Magee live in Cary and have three children.
Sheldon M. Fox
Sheldon Fox is a partner and investment manager with KDI Capital Partners in Raleigh, NC. KDI Capital Partners invests in publicly traded securities in the consumer and financial sectors. Fox is a current board member of StepUp Ministry and has served in the past on the boards of the United Arts Council of Raleigh & Wake County and SafeChild. Fox and his wife Debbie and two sons reside in Raleigh.
Shrin Rajagopalan, MD, PhD
Dr. Shrin Rajagopalan is the director of pathology services and chair, Department of Pathology, WakeMed Cary Hospital. He earned his medical and doctoral degrees from Duke University and is board certified in both Anatomic and Clinical Pathology with special training in Hematopathology. Dr. Rajagopalan, his wife Anne and their three daughters reside in Raleigh.
F. Jefferson (Jeff) Stocks
Jeff Stocks is managing partner, president and CEO of the Greenwood Group, Inc. The Greenwood Group owns and operates Manpower Services covering Research Triangle Park and eastern North Carolina, representing the largest Manpower franchise in North America. A graduate of North Carolina State University, Stocks and his wife, Pamela, have two daughters and reside in Raleigh.
